Gone For Now

My experience with prismacolors were not so great on this drawing.

"Happiness feels a lot like sorrow
Let it be, you can’t make it come or go
But you are gone- not for good but for now
Gone for now feels a lot like gone for good"

"Happiness damn near destroys you
Breaks your faith to pieces on the floor
So you tell yourself, that’s probably enough for now

What do those lyrics means to you? When you first read them, it sounds as if happiness is being described in a negative way. Well, it is, at least in the first part. But if you go deeper, you'll realize that the artist is trying to tell you that when you are happy, you can only be sad. And when you are sad, you can only be happy. And when you sad, you miss being happy. Therefore, happiness "damn near destroys you". The last set of lyrics mean a lot to me, however. If you have ever had someone that you loved or cared about deeply and then made them leave you, you'll understand the last few lyrics. If you try to force happiness among each other, you'll just fall apart. You just need to "live your life and let it go". And although it may seem as if they are gone forever, "one day, you'll wake up and she'll be home". I dunno. Those lyrics mean a lot to me, especially when a good friend of mine leaves me.

I drew this picture kinda on the spur of the moment. I've been working on this pic for what seems like forever, and although it doesn't look particularly good, its a piece I'm quite proud of. I also tried to shade with prismacolors which didn't end up too great, but it didn't end up like crap ether.

The song used here is Happiness by The Fray. Probably one of my favorite songs ever.
